About the Reach Back Foundation

Reach Back Foundation
Believe | Aspire | Strive | Succeed

“What are you going to do to help some of the kids back home that look up to you?”

– Childhood Friend of Brandon Bass

It was the question that inspired our founder’s decision to form this non-profit organization. The answer was simple as is the vision – Reach Back. And since 2008, the Brandon Bass Reach Back Foundation has been doing just that.

Beginning in 2007, the Reach Back Foundation hosted a youth basketball camp for 40
underprivileged kids and has now grown to be able to host camps in different cities across Louisiana each summer through public and private donations. The foundation hosts an annual community outreach event in which students are provided with the necessary supplies to embark upon the upcoming school year.

Now in it’s 7th year, the foundation is expanding it’s reach in order to make a larger impact on youth in underserved communities.

Mission & Vision

The mission of the Brandon Bass Reach Back Foundation is to provide a diverse range of programs and activities designed to encourage and enhance the lives of underprivileged youth in disadvantaged communities.

Understanding the plight of disadvantaged youth, from having lived it himself, and knowing the importance of role models and mentors, Brandon’s vision for the Reach Back Foundation is to empower every child to believe in the power of their dreams, allowing them to aspire to take the necessary steps in striving to succeed.
